Watching videos of a tour and the assembly of the International Space Station (ISS), and having a Skype Call with Mike Lutomski: NASA's (now retired) risk-manager for the ISS and currently with Space X!
Testing designs, measuring length, evaluating successes and failures, and analyzing conditions (i.e. drag, weight, wind, etc.):
Rocket Building! Watching rocket failures (from the movie, The Right Stuff), learning about Newton's Three Laws of Motion and practicing the engineering Design Method.
